My wedding is in the beginning of June. The ceremony is traditional, but the reception has a vietnamese/asian theme to it since I am Vietnamese. Anyone have any ideas on creative vietnamese favors??

Vietnamese: It is customary for the mother-in-law to bestow upon the bride pink chalk, which symbolizes a rosy future for the couple.

*Why not give each guest a piece of pink chalk tied up with a card explaining the significance with a ribbon in your colors?


Edit: If I were you, I'd stay away from anything "Chinese" or "Japanese" so as not to offend anyone.

Oooh... i know this might come off moderately racist, and i apologize for that - cuz its not my intention. The limited exposure i've had with the vietnamese culture mostly took place at a resturant (and my friend Beyongs house, but he spoke spanish - confused me a lot) ANYWAYS... how about togo boxes filled with pillow mints? Decorative chop stix? Depending on your guest count: lil potted bamboo stalks?
