Default What should I put inside our wine glass wedding favors?

We wanted to have personalized wine glasses for each guest at their table as a wedding favor. At first I was thinking about putting jordan almonds wrapped in tulle inside the glasses, but a wedding magazine I read said this is overdone. What could I put inside the glasses instead?

The almonds thing is very 80s and overdone, yes.

I would wrap a tea-candle in tulle, and place it in the bottom of your glasses.

Jordan almonds are overpriced and taste awful! And will land up in the garbage anyhow. If you really want candy go with buttermints wrapped in tulle. But how about something unique like photo keychain with a photo of you and your new husband?

I would go with silver though

If that is over your budget you could always add something that represents the overall theme for your wedding. Shells for a beach wedding. Small Christian prayer books for the church wedding.

One last thought, to make it decorative, how about a single rose (in the color of the bridesmaid dresses) with the stem trimmed to a perfect size for the glass. We did something similar at my daughters wedding and every one loved having the rose to take home. (We went with silk to save $)

Good luck the ideas are endless!

My first thought was wine, but if you are looking for something for the guest to take home you could:

do the jordan almonds-screw the magazine

use m&m's in your colors

use floral sachets

use candles

use a tiny miniature plant with the pot wrapped in tulle for the guest to plant

I personally wouldn't go through the expense of personalized wine glasses. I hate things mismatched and wouldn't know what to do with the glass once I got home. Keep it simple.

screw the wedding site - do what you want. Traditionally wedding favours were 5 sugared almonds representing health, wealth, happiness etc.

Or you could get a pic of you and hubby and put it inside the glass. Or cut the stem off flowers and throw one in, cute! Or get some of that curly ribbon and throw it in there. The possibilities are endless!
