Default Affordable ways to make wedding table decorations?

We are going to have over 500 people at my sister's wedding and there are tables of 10.
For each table we want the centrepiece decorations but we want to make them ourselves.
Are there any ideas, websites etc. to offer help and affordable ways to make them?
Care to share whats so funny?
Oh um...theme? We lack that lol. This is a south asian wedding so we dont really do themes.
And the table cloth is off white and the napkins are to match my sister's wedding dress; they are burgundy/maroon.

I wanted fresh flowers on the tables at my reception - and we thought it would be too expensive. BUT we actually went to albertsons and they ordered us 12 dozens of pink roses (that was our color) for about $7 per dozen, then we bought a couple of bundles of daisy and tossed those in the arrangements too. then we found the cutest vases at "DollarTree" so all together it cost about $10 per table and everyone thought it was gorgeous and thought we spent a lot more than we did.

my wedding tables had homegrown asparagus fern branches laid flat and my parents went to a flower wholesaler (early morning) two days before the wedding and bought the stuff the florists wouldn't buy in the wedding colors (lavendar/peach) and floated them in decorative bowls in the center of the table, on the fern. Very pretty, home made, and easy. You can probably rent medium size "silver" bowls from whomever you are renting the chairs/tables.

Spray burgundy red stiff paper gold but letting the burgundy showthrough or buy stiff paper that is gold on at least one side then spray the other side gold then cut the paper into different sized butterflies folding the butterflies so that the middle body part of the butterfly stays flat. Use three models to trace around so as to get the most butterflies from your paper. Buy a couple of small glue guns and one Glade candle (try to buy them wholsale-vanilla would probably be the best color)per table and peel off the labels (easy)Put a stack of small plates in the center of each table and cover with two burgundy napkins so that the 8 corners are showing...This is to elevate the candles a bit- glue one or two smaller butterflies on the candle glasses and place other butterflies around the central part and on the table cloth .... you have to glu a flat paperclip (or something else) to weight the body part of each butterfly so that they stay posed right.. just a drop of glue is enough.
