Nylons with peek toed shoes? For a wedding...??

I am my friends personal attendant at her wedding this weekend, I am wearing a knee length black dress with black peek toe, heeled shoes. Should I wear nylons? I think I would be ok with out them...my mom says its a dressy occasion so nylons should be worn...what do you think?
