Default Can a couple hold a wedding reception at a National Guard Armory?

I was just wondering, since they always have other kinds of gatherings and parties and sales and stuff.
I'm in the NC Army National Guard.

As it is here in Oregon, the armories can be rented out for anykind of function that will not adversly affect the look of the Army or create a public nuisence. The best way to go about it would be to contact your armory manager, usually a civillian that over looks two or three armories in your area, can get there number from the AGR's that are there. If its for a different one then your own then they can help you scheduale it or get you in contact with the Manager. Sometimes no matter what they will let you rent it, I know on mine they will rent it out during drill weekends, they just make sure that we are out of there before 5pm.

Usually people who are in the guard for many years can possibly get the ok for that.

In NC the armory can be rented out for parties and other functions. Just as long as it is not during a drill weekend. There is a fee of course and you have to clean up after wards. Just call and talk to the Full time staff there for more information.

if you have a family member who is in the Guard, I don't see why not....or maybe you should just contact them at the armory. They may rent it out for functions. I might not be the prettiest location, but if you have a large group it may be one of your only options!!!

As you stated, Armories are sometimes rented out for public events.. the best thing to do would be to call your local Armory and find out.
