Default Is there anything wrong with having a formal wedding and a non-formal reception?

This is both of our 2nd wedding. Is there anyhting wrong with having a big wedding with the big dress and all, and then having a "reneck" bar-b-q and kegs for the reception?

I am having a church wedding by the beach and then a semi formal reception over looking the ocean. The ceremony will be semi serious but the reception for us if fun, a celebration and party, so there are no formal seating arrangements to help everyone to mingle, a pinyata and lots of music. Do it your way!
