Default Rude to show a video of the wedding?

I am planning my mom's wedding. They are getting married on his lake (backyard) and there is not enough room for everyone, so only family and very close friends (like family) are coming (this in itself will be about 80 people...big family). However, there will be a reception a couple hours later for everyone else who wants to join us (about 70 people). All of these people kept asking to come to the wedding, but they understand that there is simply not enough room and are okay with that. My mom had the idea of showing the wedding ceremony at the reception (it will be video taped). What do y'all think? Is this rude? Any thoughts about the idea?I'm not asking who I'm supposed to invite to the reception; that's already been decided. I'm simply asking about the video.

Why not? I think it's a great idea. Have it set up in a room for those who wish too view it can.

I don't think it would be rude. I would suggest asking a few of the people about their thoughts on it. they understood about not being able to be invited, so ask if they would like to see the taping of it.
