Default Taking some photos for a friends wedding should I shoot the pictures in the RAW?

( using a d40x digital slr) Thanks in advance for the help.
Thanks gary 7 but what would make the difference in raw processing.. I guess i need to becareful because i dont know what you mean. A little more help please

It's always a good idea to shoot in RAW for weddings. You can rescue a lot of otherwise unusable images in RAW, and for wedding photography that's invaluable since some moments happen under less than ideal lighting situations and you can't re-stage those moments in better light. However, RAW uses up a ton of memory so bring LOTS AND LOTS of extra memory.

And be sure you're very familiar with RAW processing before you shoot their wedding, too.
