We are creating a wedding website. And all the examples I see have at least one photo of the couple, if not more. Me and my FH have never been photogenic people. If one person looks good...the other is making a weird face. And we don't have any engagement photos like most of these people.

Do you think the site will be too cold without any personal pictures of us? I understand we can quickly take some photos of us, but again...we're not that photogenic. But I don't want the website to be dull and impersonal.

Thoughts? Does the website absolutely need a picture of us? I was thinking of city pics (wedding in Chicago), theme colors of red/black/white and maybe a photo gallery where the photos don't have to be as elegant. Is that enough or should we have a photo of us on the homepage?

I think a website should include personal pictures. It is not the same without personalizing it. Why not grab a picture and a friend and go out and take some pics. It will be fun!

I think it is your site and you can do as you please. It might be nice to have a photos section with at least some good photos of each of you separately so the look is more personalized.
