My husband and i had bought some but we took them back because my former pastor was saying that we should not wear them?? we have had a lot of arguments over it...my mother-in-law gave me one of her special rings and i lost it I was wearing it as a wedding ring...my hubby does not have one. any info would be helpful. thanks!!!

I was raised Pentecostal and not ALL Pentecostals believe that. There are different Pentecostal just like their are different Baptist. Yours still believe in the OLD ways. My grandmother was raised that but they wore wedding rings, just not any other jewelry. But later on their church expected it and most all the women began wearing jewelry. I converted to Baptist now. There were just things I didn't quit feel were right. I do believe in speaking of tongues but I believe that was a long time ago that they could. Not today in this time. Just like Jesus walked the earth once but now he doesn't , at least not that way anymore.

How rediculous. And what is their reasoning behind this "ban on Wedding rings" are they supposedly evil in some way?
Some of these "religions" get more crazy every day with the ways they try and dictate our lives. I think the best way is to avoid churches like the plague and be as Jesus said "accept like the little children" Just believe and be good

i was under the impression that they don't believe in rings or any jewelry.. or anything that changes your physical appearance (dying hair, fake nails, cutting hair, make up) and the whole plain cloths look.
To tell you the truth its very confusing to me.
