A lot of people when they get engaged they put the ring at the right hand but when they get married they move to the left?

I really wanna know why

The engagement ring is always worn on the left hand. On the wedding day, before the ceremony, the bride swaps the engagement ring to the right hand so the wedding band can be placed on the left hand and swaps the engagement ring back to her left hand.

I have never seen a ring swapped from the right hand to left. Engagement rings are worn on the left hand just like the wedding ring. Perhaps what you saw was, the bride was wearing the engagement ring on her right hand temporarily so the wedding band could go on first (closer to the heart), and then slid the engagement ring back on. This would save her from changing them before pictures are taken. It is traditional for the wedding ring to be on the finger first, the engagement second.

I think because the wedding band you receive on your wedding day is suppposed to be closest to your heart so it goes on first, then the engagement ring last. The first ring that is supposed to be on your left hand ring finger is your wedding ring/band.

The engagement ring is worn on the left ring finger. When you get married, the bride does not have her engagement ring on or she removes it just before the wedding band is put on her left ring finger (closest to the heart) and then she puts the engagement ring back on.
