Default If I buy Valentine's Day Hershey's candy to use for favors for my wedding, will

they stay good until May? I'm getting married May 18th, but whenever I buy Hershey's kisses/hugs/etc., I never keep them around long enough to see them go bad, so I don't know how long they last. Do you think they'd be good a little over 3 months later?

Oh, the reason for buying the Valentine's Day ones is that my colors are red and white, and I've seen bags of them with red wrappers, so I thought that would be nice that it matches my colors.

Put them in the freezer. Put the bag of candy inside a brown paper bag to prevent formation of frost.

Yes they will... but dont freeze or refridgerate them.

Hersheys uses a filler in their chocolate. its like a wax. When it gets cold, the wax comes to the surface and does whats called "blooming". You know how old chocolate gets that "ashy" look to it?? Thats blooming. Keep them in a cool (not cold) dark place. Pantry, not too high (heat rises).

A chocolatey alternative: www.lindtusa.com They have milk chocolates in red wrappers available year round. White chocolates have the gold wrapper. They are a lil more expensive but TOTALLY worth it quality wise. If you live in the midwest or on the east coast, there might be a retail store near you... you can go get a free sample. Otherwise they are at the grocery store or target, smaller more expensive bags though.

They will totally be fine! I do this all the time, from holiday to holiday! Just keep them somewhere dark and not warm.
Very smart of you to do this!
