Default when you give candy box favors in the wedding do you give one per family or one

per person? I'm planning to give use these boxes

with candy inside either kisses or m&m's and would like to know because they are so cheap give them to each person not per family
any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks
thanks everybody i wasn't sure. I went to a wedding last year and my friend gave these little jars with sand and shells inside and she gave one per family. not per person.

They are coming in packs of 200... if you did one per family, you might have a few left over (ok , more than a few). In my experience... favors are one per person. Now, if you do a special gift (my cousin did framed pictures of the happy couple - 5x10 i think)... that'd i'd do one per person. But that tiny box of candy.... whathca gonna do - split 4 kisses amoungst the group?

If it's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, then it's one to a guest. Bottles of wine are one to a family. Centerpieces go to the lucky one at the table. Edibles that are larger than a breadbox are considered centerpieces and are also one to a table (went to a wedding once that had solid chocolate sculptures on each table, there was a game to figure out who took them home... some tables broke them up in order to share).

One per person, you leave one at each place setting.
There was only once when we were given a favor 'per family' - and it was because it was a beautiful sculpture of a man and woman entwined and kissing.
