I would say that it depends on your dress try on both kinds and see which looks best with the dress. I also would agree if your husband to be can't dance then maybe closed toes.

If you're getting married in a Catholic church, I believe you have to wear closed toes shoes. Otherwise, open-toed are more stylish-- unless you go with flats, which can be open- or closed-toed.

it depends on when you're getting married and how formal. Open is fine or informal/ summer/ outside
otherwise, I'd go comfy and closed toed.

Closed toes for winter, open toes for summer. My freind actually did the white flip flops with a very formal dress. She was comfy and who actually sees your shoes anyway? (Well, if you have a full lenght dress that is) I did closed toes because they were the highest heel I could find; my husband is 1 foot and 2 inches taller than me.

I prefer open. My cousin went with closed because she felt it improper to wear a wedding gown with no stockings. It's really just what you prefer.

well i'm having a formal wedding inside and i'm having closed toed shoes. just because i feel they are more comfortable to dance and that's what i'm doing all night long.
