The tables are already supplied with white linen and two ivy bowls for each table by the reception site. We are puting clear glass stones inside the bowl and placing a votive candle holder and candle inside. We are clueless on how else to decorate the tables. The wedding is next summer and our colors are black and white. We are using pink as our accent color.

One thing I am doing that would look good is table runners. I'm having white table cloths with blue table runners down the center, a bigger fishbowl with colored glass stones and floating candles in the middle with a smaller votive fishbowl on either side of it. Then there will be small bowls of mints and mixed nuts on the other sides of those.

if i were you i would put votive candles exactly as you described down the center of each table from one end to the other. one candle every foot or so, so if you have eight foot long tables you would have eight candles. it would be inexpensive, simple and elegant. you could put clear pink stones in with the clear ones and the light reflecting off them would be very pretty.

Why don't you mix a few pink and black glass stones with the clear and use pink votive candles. Fill some globe bowls with some Hershey miniatures wrapped with labels with coordinating colors on them. Sprinkle pink and black confetti across the white linen. You shouldn't need much more than that. Good luck to you and congratulations!!

If money is an issue, you can buy rolls of crepe paper, black white and pink and stretch and twist them to the length of the table (in the middle). I've seen where people sprinkle wedding confetti on the tables. Little bells and such, you can get at a party store. The cleanup is not fun though. Another inexpensive idea are little cups of peanuts and mints.
If money is not an issue, my niece got married this summer and made everyone a little photo album that she had put pics of her and her husband growing up, meeting, and some of their vacations and stuff. She added little tidbits about the both of them, gave everyone a chance to get to know them, I absolutely loved it!!!!!!!!
Some people make CD's of their wedding songs and put them on the tables for everyone to take.

Try putting disposable cameras every so many seats. They can be dressed up with ribbon or confetti. The idea is for your guests to take pics of each other during the reception. They will get some shots that your photographer will never catch.
