Yes if I could afford it. I got the cheapest package for 1,700 only two 8x10 and 7 hours of coverage but I get all the rights to the negatives and can print pictures out myself.

In my 25 YEARS as a wedding photographer, I've NEVER seen them attend and shoot the rehersal dinner... but whatever floats your boat...you only mentioned an album for the PARENTS and only ONE???????? When I do a wedding I offer ONE 8x10 ALBUM for the bride and goom, ONE EACH 5x7 for both sets of parents... if there are stepparents as well, it's a bit extra for the third 5x7 album---each album by the way contains the exact amount of pictures... 30 - 50.... I give them getting READY PHOTOS, wedding ceremony photos and shots in between the wedding and reception (bridal party shots at a scenic place)... and any reception photos they might want... When I was using film, I could use 12 rolls easily---(over 400 shots all 4x6.... the couple would also get the negatives and all proofs at the end of the contract sale... and 11X14 portrait of the bride and groom and other options were always available at an added cost.... I would charge $2500 for a set package... adding extra costs on for extra prints and extra enlargements... but that was a few years ago... as long as your photographer does EXCELLENT WORK, $2700 is a good price.. If he takes HORRIBLE PHOTOS,,.... $2.70 is too much....

This is just photographs no videography or cds?? Well in that case $2,700 is too much money. I would pay no more than $1,500 for that service assuming the pics are highest quality. Perhaps that high cost is because its so many hours so maybe the hourly rate is high but your just getting a bunch of copies of about 40-50 pictures which actually is not a great deal. I know services that have photo sessions for about 6-7 hrs and are significally lower in cost than what you have listed (which totals about 8-10 hrs) Its actually HALF the cost or less and you are getting the same thing.

The other site charges around the same price as what you listed but provides far more services hence being a better deal. They offer a DJ, videographer and photographer.

I am actually getting more than that for $1600 but keep in mind, prices vary per province/state/country. Do some on line comparisons of other photographers works and do make sure you get the copyright to duplicate pics as you wish after. That is becoming fairly standard now but double check!. Even where I live, it is still fairly reasonable. Interview the photographer, ask to see a portfolio (not just what they put on a website) and ask for references. If he/she is gruff or grumpy in the interview (as one of ours was) he/she may not work well with your wedding party, especially if it involves children. This one person is thee one responsible for creating something you can look back on years from now so you need to be comfortable with them. Good luck and best wishes!

My package for $1600

Full day of wedding photography
Bridal Preparation
Groom Preparation
Ceremony coverage
Family formal photographs
On-location photography throughout the city

1 copy with basic editing
1 copy with full photoshop effects
4 hours of engagement photography
4 hours of Trash the dress photography

Wedding rehearsal consultation
75 free 4"x6" professional quality prints

gee i'm paying $250 for 6 hours and a fully edited cd of all the pics.

i've seen higher priced photographers and can't imagine paying that- that's more than the whole budget for my wedding!

i don't see a point to prints when you can take the dvd/cd to a photo dpt and print your own for pennies

Do you get the digital rights to the pictures taken? I didn't see anything in there about that. If that's the case, then its a pretty decent deal. I suppose it might depend on where you are getting married too but 2,700 seems a little steep for what you are getting based on the list of things you provided. However, the rehearsal dinner coverage is definitely something I have never seen before so that is a plus!

That is a wonderful deal, possibly too good to be true. You might not bet getting the best photographer. I live in Norther CA and pricing packages up here that would have been in the $10k price range.
